Final Half Term

And what a half term it is going to be!

We have an action-packed half term planned including two day trips to Robinwood,

trips to the park and the beach, sports days, leavers service and lots of end of year fun!

Monday 12th July 2021- Friday 16th July 2021

What a week of weather extremes!

On Monday, we had a very wet day at the beach! We made the most of it and had great fun just playing in the sand!

On Friday, we had glorious sunshine and enjoyed a visit to Victoria Park. We created maps of the park and thought about what improvements we could make in the wildlife area.

Monday 5th July 2021 - Friday 9th July 2021

This half term we have been learning all about our local area- Salford Quays. We have looked at where it is located, what is was like historically and this week, we have researched in teams 'What does Salford Quays have to offer?'

We looked at Sport, Entertainment, Transport, Hospitality, Industry and Living.

Monday 28th June 2021- Friday 2nd July 2021

This week we have been investigating the best conditions for growing mould!

Using bread, we tested how temperture, light, oxygen and dampness effected the rate at which mould would go.

Have a look below at our delightful results and our fabulous double page spreads!

Monday 21st June 2021- Friday 25th June 2021

This week, 6B have worked incredibly hard to show off their excellent reading and grammar skills by completing some end of year tests. I am so impressed with how mature and hard working they have been.

We have also continued our wonderful work based on Harry Potter.

Inspired by all of the mythical creatures that appear in the book, we have designed our own. Have a look at some of the fantastic examples below.

Next week, we will be using our designs to write detailed descriptions of our unique beasts and non-chronological reports.

Monday 14th June 2021- Friday 18th June 2021

Another busy day at Robinwood with possibly even more excitement than the first day!

This weeks challenges included;

+ The Giant Swing

+ Rock Climbing

+ Caving

+ Archery

+ Tree Top challenge

+ and the infamous Piranha pool!!

Monday 7th June 2021- Friday 11th June 2021

Ancient Greek Home Learning Challenges

I am really impressed with the quality and variety of home learning challenges inspired by the Ancient Greeks.

We have had baking, drawings, playdoh pictures, lego models, portraits, books, factfiles and even some pottery!
