Monday 22nd May- Friday 26th May
What a busy week!
On Monday, we visited the Manchester Police Museum. We took part in a Victorian court room drama and took a tour of the museum.
We have worked on our 'Love' themed art projects throughout the week and the finished framed pictures look amazing.
We also enjoyed the French day where we took part in lots of activities: planning a trip to France, Eiffel Tower art and even a game of petanque.
Monday 15th May - Friday 19th May
This week, each year group produced a piece of art inspired by a different artist that was also linked with one of our school values. Year 6 learned about Romero Britto and were tasked with a producing a piece of art linked with our school value of love.
We initially found the task quite tricky! I was really impressed with the determination and resilience to keep going, try again and for some children to start over from scratch. The artwork is going to be framed and sent home. Have a look at some of the excellent examples below.
Tuesday 8th May - Friday 12th
A huge well done to all of 6B this week. Each and every member of the class showed their determination, resilience and positive attitudes this week. I have been so impressed with their hard work and effort. Well done team 6B!
Now that SATS are over, it time for us to work on our end of year production which this year is......
Auditions will be taking place next week. I can't wait to see the amazing acting and singing talents of the class!
Tuesday 2nd May - Friday 5th May
This week, we tested our programming skills by instructing the Sphero to travel towards the Jenga blocks and knock over the 'pigs'.
Monday 24th April - Friday 28th April
This week in our Values and Attitudes lesson, we thought about how we can express ourselves through art. Everyone has created a portrait with items to show their interests and personalities. Each picture is unique. Take a look at some of the fantastic examples below.
Monday 17th April - Friday 21st April
We have had a great start to the summer term and have started our new topics of 'Evolution' in science and 'Crime and Punishment' in history.
At the start of every science topic, we have a think about what learning we have done in years 2,3,4 & 5 that will help with our topic. Have a look at some of our recap pages below- we could remember lots about lifecycles, fossils and habitats.
