Monday 27th March - Friday 31st March

Thank you to all of the parents and carers that came to see our 'Science Showcase'.

Year 6 have worked really hard throughout their topic on the circulatory system. They were given the task of sharing their fantastic learning in the showcase. Each group came up with a unique resource of activity to showcase their learning and I am very proud how much enthusiasm they showed on the day.

Monday 20th March - Friday 24th March

This week we have finished 'Wonderscape'. We really enjoyed joining Arthur, Ren and Cecily on their adventure. The class voted at Cloud the dog as their favourite character after discovering he can transform into the animals of the Chinese. Next week, we will be writing our own adventures based on the main characters being invited back into the Wonderscape for the opening of a new realm.

This half term, we have been investigating alarm systems and how they work. We have designed and started to make our own alarm system. Take a look at some of work below.

Monday 13th March- Friday 17th March

We have really enjoyed reading our English text 'Wonderscape' and not far from finishing the book and seeing if the main characters will escape the game or turn to slime!

This week we thought about the inventions and items available within the game to enhance the experience and then had a go at creating our own. I was so impressed with the creative ideas of the class and everyone had produced an informative non- chronological report. Have a look at some of the imaginative inventions below.

Monday 6th March - Friday 10th March

We have been learning all about Dubai this week and how it transformed from sand to land. We looked at the human and physical features of Dubai as well as the problems and solutions to building in a desert!

Monday 27th February - Friday 3rd March

What a fantastic week! A huge thank you to everyone that got involved with World Book day and came to school as a famous non-fiction figure. We had a wonderful day. We watched teachers try and break world records, created fact files about our figures, collected our world book day book, took part in an art competition and attempted some world records ourselves.

6B have shown resilience and determination.

As well as being super busy with tests, we have started our new topics in science and geography.

In science, we learned all about the circulatory system. We had some interesting guesses for the what the image below was of....what do you think? Answer at the bottom!

In Art over the last term, we were working on our 2d to 3d historical figures. I think you will agree from looking at the images below that they are pretty impressive!
