A super busy week in 6B as we finished our Spring 2 topics.

  • We assessed our excellent subject knoweldge in science after investigating the evolution of the peppered moth. 
  • We have also evaluated our learning about Ratio in maths.
  • We have finished our Sustainability in Dubai topic and have produced some fantastic pieces of art and geography.
  • In English, we were in role as police detectives and had to investigate for supernatural incidents in a high school.

 

Some of us even had time to make fantastic Easter hats!

Monday 28th March 2022 - Friday 1st April 2022

This week, we got to share our fantastic geography subject knowledge with year 5 and parents/carers. 

 

We became experts in sustainability in our 'VPJS EXPO: Sustainability for Our World'.

 

I was so impressed with the knowledge shared and the high quality work on display. Well done 6B!

Monday 21st March 2022 - Friday 25th March 2022

This week we have been preparing for our 'Geography Showcase' next week. 

We have been learning all about sustainability in Dubai and looking at Human and Physical features of Dubai.

At over 828 metres (2,716.5 feet) and more than 160 stories, Burj Khalifa holds the following records: 

Tallest building in the world

Tallest free-standing structure in the world

Highest number of stories in the world.

Happy Red Nose Day!!

We discussed the meaning behind and the purpose of red nose day. We told our best jokes and the winner was chosen to share theirs on a whole school zoom with the infants- well done Alyssa!

Congratulations to our competition winners!

There were so many fantastic entries into our 'Animal Roll Model' competion. Well done to Hayder as our winner and Yinuo and Grace- our runners up.

 

 

We also took part in a poetry competition. We could choose any style of poem as long

as it linked with animals!

Congratulations to Riley our winner for a moving poem about Zoe the Gorilla.

A huge well done to our runners up Hosea and Missy.

Monday 28th February 2022 - Friday 4th March 2022

 

On Thursday, we celebrated World Book Day. The theme for the day was animals and we took part in lots of activities: animal story recommendations, guess the animal quiz, 'roll models' competition and produced some fantastic animal poetry.

Monday 21st February 2022 - Friday 25th February 2022

We jumped straight into a busy week at school after half term. We have been demonstrating our fantastic learning from the year in maths, reading and grammar. We have worked extremely hard and Mrs Biddulph is very proud of everyone.

 

In geography, our new big question is ;How Sustainable is Dubai:' and we shared our home learning challenges.

We have lots of facts about Dubai and even got to try some tasty food.

 

We have also started our new 'Evolution & Inheritance' topic in science. We had to choose an animal to reasearch about and present how the animal has adapted to their environment. Take a look at some of our fantastic work below.
