What an amazing job Year 3 did on Wednesday when we showcased all our wonderful knowledge of geography from this half term. We stepped out of our comfort zone to learn amazing facts and share them with the parents and carers who came to visit. Well done Year 3!
Our P.E unit this half term is dance. We looked at the different components of dance and had a go at copying a 32 count motif. We had lots of fun exploring which worked best and then worked with our partner to create our own motif. Strictly Come Dancing watch out!
As part of our art unit this half term, we have been looking at the Spanish Architect Antoni Gaudi. Using him as our inspiration, we are going to make some animals in his 'trencadis' (mosaic) style using model magic. Stand by for the final masterpiece!
What a wonderful World Book Day we all had! Our theme this year was animals from fiction books and we really put a lot of effort into our outfits. We had lots of fun making our animal ROLL models, recommending a book to our friends and creating our own haiku or kenning poem about an animal.
This half term our new class text is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We have loved meeting Charlie and his family and finding out all about their lives. We wrote a fabulous character description of Charlie Bucket and showed off our wonderful grammar skills.
Last half term, we looked in depth at self-portraits and how to accurately draw the features of the face. Our learning partner gave us lots of feedback on how to improve before our final draft. Check out our amazing self-portraits in our art gallery!
This week, we have been learning all about money and how to add and subtract it. We enjoyed trying to remember the value of all the coins and notes.
