Dragon poetry

This half term in English, we started by reading dragon poems, writing our own and performing them. We wrote a range of dragon poems using a range of poetic features such as rhyme and repetition. We wrote our own haiku poems, list poems and repetition poems.

How to train your dragon

We have continued this half term by studying a text called 'How to Train Your Dragon' by Cressida Cowell.

We have been busy working hard working on our reading skills and use the reading VIPER skills to help us to improve.We have also been working hard to produce some wonderful pieces of writing including a character description of Snotlout, a character and setting description of the sea dragon and will also be producing an alternative ending narrative and a diary entry.
