Monday 15th June - Friday 19th June
Dragons were a big part of Viking design. They would use them as figureheads on their longboats as a way of striking fear into any enemy they approached. The dragon head would be at the bow (front) of the longboat and the tail would be at the stern (back) of the longboat.
The Vikings would also use a dragon eye design in their jewellery.
To start our dragon eye art work. Have a go at sketching these different animal eyes. Focus on getting the correct shape of the eye (they're not all perfectly circular!) and study the pupil and iris carefully.
