Our 'Big Question' this half term is - What was it like to be a child during World War II?
To start our topic, the children will be looking at evacuation and experiencing what it was like to live through the blitz.
They will be creating their own learning journeys and posing their own questions to further their knowledge.
Using a range of ICT, the children will research different aspects of the war from rationing to the different types of shelters used.
During this journey, the children will be learning about the effects the war had on Britain, its population and the war effort.
All their learning will culminate in a very special VE Day party where the children will dress as an evacuee and chose which rationed, war time food they would like to celebrate with...
