Get Involved!
There are lots of ways to get involved with the school and we actively seek parental/carers involvement and engagement throughout the school year and in a number of ways:
Reader Friends
As a whole school, we are dedicated to nurturing a lifelong love of books and have lots of different ways to encourage reading in and around school. We are very fortunate to have a regular group of parent, carer and community volunteers who come into school every Monday afternoon to support Year 3 pupils in using our library. This extra support is incredibly valuable as it provides time for children to learn how to select, enjoy and share books as well as building skills for the future.
If you can spare your time on Monday afternoons, please let us know - we would love to have you join us!
Accompanying School Trips
The children enjoy a wide range of exciting trips and experiences throughout the school year and parent/carer volunteers are an essential part of our planning as we need to maintain high levels of supervision when off the premises. It is also a good chance for you to participate and share the children's learning so please let class teachers know if you are available to help!
Sharing your own experiences, skills and ideas with the children through:
Aspirations Week, Arts Week, Equalities Week.
We often focus on particular areas of learning during the school year and are always looking for new ideas so please look out for invitations to get involved. Alternatively, you may have a talent or skill which you would like to share with the children.
If you would like to volunteer in school, please contact the school office.
