Equality & Accessibility

 

At Victoria Park Junior School we believe that all children should come to school to learn, achieve and succeed together. We actively seek to remove the barriers to learning and participation that can hinder or exclude individual pupils, or groups of pupils.  This means that equality of opportunity must be a reality for our children.

 

Our core values (Respect, Equality, Aspiration, Responsibility, Courage and Love) enable us to build a secure, collaborative and purposeful learning culture, where all pupils and staff are valued, cared for, listened to and challenged to be the best they can be.

 

We are equally ambitious for all pupils and staff irrespective of disability, race, colour, religion, gender or background.  Inclusion is central to our ethos and practice and our response to the needs of our pupils is a vital part of personalising learning for all.

 

Our School Promise and Code of Conduct are an important guidance for our pupils. They ensure that our core values remain embedded in our attitudes, behaviour and expectations.
